AD1865N-K/N-J Designation Confusion

I scored some samples of both of these versions, since a selection table on the AD site called the N-K a "Mono 16-bit" DAC, while the N-J is as it should be, a Stereo 18-bit.

I assume this is just an error on the website, and that the N-K is a higher selection grade.

I'm planning a non-os DAC a'la Yury Gelcor (Retro-DAC). Alternately, there is the Audio Note circuit(s), which I don't have. Yet.

Any comments on this project? (Elso, I SURE like to know some details of your AD1865 implementation) My goal is have DACs to listen to from all the major manufacturers - I have PMC1702, TDM1541AS1 non-os, TDM1543 Nixonian, and Crystal 4397 eval board.

AD1865

Hi cam,
The K-version is the highest selection grade of the 18 bit AD1865. Unfortunately AD forgot it to mention in the datsheet. The K-grade is mentioned in the predecessor AD1864.
My Asynchronous Reclocker also serves as gluelogic as the inverted LATCH for the right channel is available from the 74VHC74. I send you the schematic. I posted most of the details of my DAC here on this forum and AA: transformerless digital interface,

Currently I am using the TDA1543!;) I am VERY pleased with the sound:) :)
Good luck with your huge project!;)
