Hi,
i have a YBA special with teac CDP1100 inside and i wanted to change D/A converter by PCM1725 but does not function. I don't have sound to output. i cannot send you my old D/A datasheet because is too big. Somebody can help me? Thank You! Maxpou old D/A datasheet: http://www.datasheetcatalog.com/data.../KDA0316.shtml DSP: http://www.datasheet4u.com/html/K/S/...uctor.pdf.html pcm1725: http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folder...t/pcm1725.html |

KS9211 has RJ output format with 48 x BCK. PCM1725 understand only RJ with 64x BCK and does not understand 64x BCK RJ. You need CPLD to convert from 48xBCK RJ to 64x BCK RJ

but i don't understand 48x RJ, what is this RJ and CPLD? Do you know a IC for convert this. Where do you found this information in datasheets. Thank You! Maxpou |

RJ=Right Justified , 48x mean that 1 period of LRCK consist 48 clocks of BCK, CPLD = Complex Programmable Logic Device. I don't know IC that convert from 48x to 64x and I suppose that IC don't exist in the world :-( If you want to convert from 48x to 64x, you must use 2 shift registers. 48x data is wrote to first register and ,when it filled, data is transfered into second. From second register data is got out clocked by 64x BCK. At this moment first register receive next data frame. You may realize this structure on CPLD, for example Altera EPM3256ATC144-10 or EPM240T100-10

PCM1725 is obsolete and replaced by PCM1754. This does seem to support 48fs right justified 16-bit.
You could also use an ASRC like AD1895 to convert format.... |
