Missing remote for Classe' CDP

I received a wonderful Classe' CDP1 but unfornately the remote is missing.
The Candian company said that the remote is no longer available.

What I received from them was this description:

MODEL RC-3 CDP1, CDT done RC-5: sys-20


Any help where to find an used one, or a programmable one that will suit my CDP1??

Hi Dario,

I don't know what Sys-20 is but I know that RC-5 is the standard remote control protocol used for philips players. Lots of manufacturers use these codes.
Generally speaking, players use either Philips (RC-5) or Sony.

You could always buy a universal remote control and try Philips, Marantz, Cyrus etc codes to see which one is most compatible with your player.

Does the the Classe have any unusual commands? This is the only slight problem that I can see but I'm sure that any Philips or marantz remote would do. Try Ebay.

Thanx Martin,

Up to the user manual, the remote has the regular Open, Start, FW and Back options + Repete or Repete one.

What I can say is that all other remotes I have (2 fr DVD player, one fr JVC CDP, VCR, TV, Cables) nothing gives sign of working with the Classe'.

I will try with a Philips...

Hi, my first post so hello to everbody, hope you dont mind me coming straight in with an answer.

I have a classe .5 and it happily responds to my arcam phillips based model. Thats a nice player you have there, enjoy.
