Service Manual, info parts ? SONY CDP-D11

Looking for any information i can find for servicing a SONY CDP-D11 1 Ru pro cd player.

Schematics or a service manual would be great! would be willing to pay a small fee for a manual.

Also any service tips, trouble shooting info CD/Transport parts information etc.

I have one on its way that wont load the disc. don't know if it is a mechanical issue or some other board level problem that is common with these units.


The CDP-11 if you are not familer is the 1 RU pro cd player.

My CDP-D11 arrived yesterday and i see the first problem. the output caps on the balanced output section are balloned out and leaking. definitly bad. But the bigger problem is a broken loading ring in the transport.

Sony is really hooked on there tape transports that for sure as they use a round ring just like in there pro decks to grab onto and pull down and open the transport to load the cd. there are three tabs on this ring that slide into the transport chassis to pull it down and lock it into place and one of the tabs is broken allowing the back rear corner of the transport to "spring up" causing a mis-alignment of the cd slot preventing the cd from loading.

Something is still work because even when i push down on that corner and try and load a cd, it gets 90% of the way in and then wont go any further.

Still trying to find a service manual. but i did find a sony parts website that has the loading rings. so i ordered one and will get into it a bit more when that arrives......


Anyone else ever work on one of these????
