Beta Brite Ez Key Ii

I'm looking for the wiring schematic for a BETA BRITE EZ KEY II unit. It has a phone jack on it that has 6 wires. A cable can be ordered to connect to this jack with an 9-pin RS232 connector that allows you to use it with a computer. I need to get the pinouts of this cable. (If I order the cable, it costs me $100. I can build one cheaper than that.) I think I can program it through hyperterm.

http://wls.wwco.com/ledsigns/alpha/cable.html shows using a crossover RJ12 cable- total cost $2.52

Using a straight RJ12 cable and 6 conductor RG12/Db9F converter:

RJ12-Red to Db9-3
RJ12-Green to Db9-2
RJ12-White to Db9-5

Unused RJ12 Wires (Black, Yellow, Blue) need to be cut back and taped off.

If the sign uses both 485 and 232 use to port designated for both.

The sign may have a jumper in back to select between 232 and 485
