Excuse my ignorance but, I was wondering...
Is there a design / kit of a digital amp WITH a USB input / DAC? My current 2ch. system consists of a G4 Mac Mini with a matching external 400 GB HD as source. Music CDs are ripped using iTunes AIFF settings. Digital output from Mini's USB port connects to a Waveterminal U24, converted to Coax or Toshlink and then feeds a Lite DAC-AH NOS dac. I think it's time to move into a simplier signal path solution. I have minimum experience in soldering but there are friends that might help building a usb dac like DDDAC with USB input (any other sudgestions?) Is there a kit with UcD ot Tripath modules that can be combined with a usb dac into one box solution? ( Something like a Belcanto's eOneS300iu ?) |
