is there or has anyone a schematic how to make of my digital output in cd player an additional AES/EBU output?

There are 2 main differences:
1) SPDIF is unbalanced and can be 0.5v to 5v. AES/EBU is balanced 5v. 2) The signal pathology is different: There are extra check and flag bits in AES/EBU. No. 1 must be fixed, and the link does give some info, but you might have to intercept the SPDIF signal before it is attenuated before the RCA socket. No. 2 does not have to be fixed normally. Most DAC's don't mind, though any that give status indications such as bit-rate, might show an error. Cheers, |
