I will appreciate if somebody post a good picture of DP-1000 remote Control unit so atleast i know how it looked like.

Can't help with a picture at the mo', but the model number of the remote is; RC-2000 if that helps.

Default Difference between DP1000 and DP2000?

hi,

i would like to know if there is a big difference between the DP1000 and DP2000. since i have the DP 2000 and the track indication dosnīt work. the player itself works fine. by the way, dose anyone have a service manual for the DP2000? or can i use the manual from the DP1000?

What happens is that the tray loading motor belt stretches and then the magnetic clamp is not pulled off the spindle that the disc sits on.
If a disc is left in the player then this problem is only noticed when the tray is closed with no disc in at which point the draw refuses to open.
Just fitting a new belt completely fixed mine and that was nearly 3 years ago.
I still use this player occasionally now!
Still plays everything including cdr's and has never mistracked anything, not bad for 27 years of age, I love it!
