Default Vinyl to CD Recordings

Can any-body shed some light on a problem i have with getting my Cd player to play cds i have burnt on my computer whilst recording vinyl to cds. The cd player is a Marantz CD 62. The cd player registers the length of the recording on the read-out, but will not play back. The burnt cds will play back on my cd player in my car though, just not on my home system.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Ensure compatibility between the media and your CD player.
Check the type of CD's you're using and it's possible that your CD player cannot play them.
I had the same problem. My DVD player won't play CD+R discs but is quite happy with CD-R type discs.

By the way this is the wrong forum for your post.

Thanks for your feedback. I am using CD-R discs, but will try another type.

Tried another brand of CD-R disc, and that has done the tick.

Burning speed can greatly affect the playability. Lower is said to be better.
Meanwhile I moved this thread.
