This guy James D seems to think that the PCM65 is the equivelent to the TDA1541.

It is not the pcm56.
This chip has 64 pins and it must be the biggest BB dac chip that I ever seen in my life - about twice the size of a pcm63.
I am trying to get in touch with the right chap in TI for a copy of the datasheet.
I was told that the Pioneer PD-91 and some Sony cdps use this dac chip.

Here is info on the BB PCM65
I dug up the PD91 service manual at my shop, and took a couple of quick hi-res pics of the PCM65 dac stage. I can't get it small enough to post here without losing legibility, so tell me if you want me to email the files. It's a rather unusual looking chip, judging by it's peripheral needs. I can do a proper scan of the whole schematic if anyone here needs it.
