Ive just been reading an old article on modding DACs, the writer used an AA Dac-in-the-box as a 'mule'

He discusses using the DITB's AD1865 I(current)-out pins (loaded with a resistor), instead of the V(voltage)-out, so bypassing the AD1865's integrated op-amp.
This apparently liberates some clarity, presumably at the expense of reduced voltage at the actual line-out. (As it happens, reducing my DITB's output would be desirable).
Can someone tell me; Is this simply a matter of finding the PCB tracks to the AD1865's V-out, breaking them, and then linking the (appropriately resistor-loaded) I-out pins to the same track?
