sony scd555es and transformer replacing opamps

Dear experts,

I have a european 555 player (not the changer) and I have some Tribute transformers at hand which I used before after the pcm1704 dac (resistor for I/V conversion) on the elektuur (elektor) 2000 dac (=kit). I liked the result very much.

I don't know much about digital electronics so I cannot find out for myself how to use these transformers in the 555. I have read that Allen Wright taps the signals in the 555 and the 777 before the dacs !
I guess that i could try the same trick with the transformers. Does anybody know how to do it ?

I believe the xb-940, the 777 and the 555 are electronically look alikes.

Anybody tried this before ?
