I have one unit of Marantz CD94. When I load a disk, the disk just spins briefly and stopsand spin briefly again and then stop. It does not play and the display shows "error". When I borrowered the servo board from another marantz machine, it runs fine. Where do I start checking on the faulty servo board.?

First of all look for the obvious ie bad solder joints around the larger components and the PC board connectors. Use a magnifying glass and look for cracks on the PCB itself around the screwdown fastener areas. Beyond this a schematic diagram my be required to start verifing that components are getting the required voltages .
