having found this amp in a friends loft, and it not working i decided to try and repair it, but with no schmatics it's proving difficult.
first i replaced all the transistors( there were big chunks missing from them), and also replaced burned out resistors and 1 3.15 amp fuse. having done this i switched it on, it powered up but the power led was flashing and after about 30 sec the 3.15 fuse went again. can anyone suggest what the problem is with this amp, is it drawing too much power or have the power capasitors gone? also the amp draws 600w is a 13a fuse in the plug going to cause problems? thanks |

OK...first off we need to know which Nack. amp you have..Can you give us a model number? Also it might help if you had a serial number...there might be running production updates, year codes and/or plant codes in said serial number.
I would bet dollars to donuts that there is a pure nackamichi person on this forum who has a schematic. If we can go thru said schematic & find the components that were bad we can trace down the failed system. ____________________________________Rick.......... . |
