I have used this CD94 for ten years plus. Today I come to it and it only reluctantly shuts the drawer when loading, then when shut there is a slight groaning noise and the macihine does not play. The drawer re-opens a moment or two later and the "ERROR" message comes up.
I have removed the lid and can see that the drawer is sticking a bit. A bit of lube on the runners and it seems fine now. But the disc does not spin and tray re-opens after a few seconds. Any thoughts? Is there a main drive motor and if so where do I get a spare and how do I change it? Alan |

Check and see if there is a loading belt slipping. I have a Nak that was acting very similar. The tray would open and close but the tray wasn't closing completely. The funny groaning noise may be the belt slipping on the motor pulley.
