I have an AIWA NSX-V2100 compact stereo that has it's tuner stuck in Europe FM spacing interval (50KHz). Anyone know the key sequence to change to 100KHz interval ?

try reseting the unit - can often be done by unpluging the stereo for 1-2min.

I tried both unplugging and also manual reset (hold down CLEAR + POWER-ON)...it remains on 50KHz interval

Can someone with a service manual for one of these older 3-disc carousel stereos (NXS-??? ETC) tell me if the FM tuning step interval is specified in the manual as 100KHz ?
I'm starting to think this may be the standard interval spacing Aiwa uses and therefore the product will tune FM in europe and USA with no modification required , Although all other brand stereos I've looked at only tune in 100KHz steps. |
