Restore muting on Marantz CD85 after NOS mod (Help!)

Hi!
Is there someone can help me in restoring the muting function of my Marantz CD85?

I've made the NOS mod, I've also reconnected the pin 11 of SAA7210 to pin 23 of the SAA7220 but the muting function does not work!

Any ideas?

Why would you expect the muting function of the SAA7220 to work given that you have disconnected its output?

I'm not a "guru", but in a Marantz CD65 with the same NOS mod, after reconnecting the pin 11 of SAA7210 to pin 23 of the SAA7220, the muting function return to work perfectly.
In the Marantz CD85, muting implementation seems to be different from other Marantz CD Players.

Pins 11 and 23 are inputs. You have to find what drives them.
