HI, all.
Is there a fiber optic (toslink) DAC available on the cheap? All I want to do is hook up my PC's audigy card to the amp via digial fiber. I want to add one to a t-amp or to a Hypez UcD amp. thanks! |

Yes, a USB DAC would be the ideal way to go. You wouldn't even need a sound card then.
However, if you plan on using your Audigy card with kxdrivers like I am, I recommend an Entech 203.2 DAC. They are relatively inexpensive and they sound wonderful for the price. I have 4 of them. http://cgi.ebay.com/MONSTER-CABLE-EN...QQcmdZViewItem |

That Entech is 20 bits?
hmm...my Audigy 2zs is 24 bits. And I use PAX audigy 4 hacked drivers(which sound very good) I had a Headroom TotalBithead headphone amp that was USB 16bits. I couldnt stand the thing. The difference in the 8 bits was immense. |
