Following the previous thread of tapping the CXD2510 i2s signals to a TDA1545A, I have successfully done it with the multispin cdrom.
I also have a cdrom controller with uses an IDE interface to a normal cdrom, but noticed that the NEC uses i/o bus interface with its connector much broader than an IDE. Is there a way/ or is there an adaptor that I can use ? This done so that I can remotely control the NEC using the cdrom controller that comes with a remote handset. |

If it's MORE pins than IDE, (like 50 of them), it could be SCSI. I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as a SCSI to IDE converter. And if there was it'd cost a lot more than an IDE CDROM is worth these days.

I though SCSI connectors are much more compact than IDE; is it possible that older generation SCSI connectors are shaped like the IDE but just wider ?
