Default Logitech buying Slim Devices

Straight from the horse's mouth here:

http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=28821

Let's hope they don't wreck it...

On the other hand, maybe we'll be able to buy transporters for $200 on Woot!

Not sure what to think about this. I'm sure that the guys at SD have the company's best interests at heart but I just can't see Logitech supporting hi-end audio products in the long term. I can imagine component costs being cut as the 'mass market', whom Logiech generally aim at, will be looking at a SB as a gadget rather than a potenital piece of hi-fi kit.

The jury is out at the mo.

Logitec just came out with a $500 remote control called Harmony 1000. I think they were looking for something to control it with. Maybe their marketing people have some fresh ideas...

These were my immediate thoughts.

While the jury is still out, I've got a feeling I know what the verdict will be.
