I have a tascam cd-302 that i need to try and repair/possibly mod.
As far s i can remember, the last time i tried it,it only made some AWFUL digital/clipping/digital data sounds when try to play disks. It has been really hard to research this issue. First i got totally ripped off buying the cd-302 ,now i have to spend many hours of my time simply trying to track down some of these great "mods" & repairs i hear about all over, but it seems there is no links or info on actually doing it For instance , i have read posts by djcl.ear in multiple forums talking about all this great info available , but i have not seen any followup posts/ info or any links. Now to try and email him from this forum i have to post multiple posts before i can even try to email him! I am getting kind of frustrated here.Where is all the info??? I swear , i will NEVER buy another Tascam product my whole life and i will continue to tell people of my experiences.I completely threw away around $3000 on tascam products that were absolute junk(and it took me YEARS to save that money). Anyways....I would really appreciate some help on getting access to the repairs/mods info and i would really like to get in contact with djcl.ear because i bet he could give me an idea as to what is blown. I am going to fire it up again soon and note it's issues and even record the sound that comes out of it in hope that someone can help me figure out the problem. |

OK, you are entitled to have your opinions and write them where it is allowed, however I perceive the content of your post as rude(against me) and rushed.
Along the years I have posted at several forums, but only did so after extensive reading about the themes that I judged as related, and if you read my posts carefully, I've been mostly asking for guidance... of which just in a few occassions actually got responses. Which is easy to understand; this forum is an advanced audiophile area, and the particular CD player you are refering to is only pro-audio level at its best, and hence quite uninteresting to most posters here. This lack of practical answers slowed down (and in some areas stopped) my search over rather theoretically good modding posibilities for this player and this explains why there is not much specific info available online about those. I do also understand that my presentation of the subjects might not have been good enough to call for a response, but that was my best so far then. Furthermore, at your allegations up here you seem to be searching for repairing tips and that is not a matter to look for here. I saw your recent message with a similar request at www.tascamforums.com, which is just a user's run forum of which I contribute to moderate the DJ area. I will attempt an answer to some of your issues there, though it seems you are really needing to locate an authorised repair service and some patience as starters... Peace |
