Default worried about my cardinal

ive just paid for a pink triangle cardinal transport, yet ive just read on here that evenetually all the oil filled caps will fail , im left feeling heartbroken , and also curious , how easy to repair would it be , has anyone else had it done and can any competent repair shop carry out the work ?

ive tried to mail the main man but i cannot use email until ive made a few posts , so if your reading this john, would you be able to suggest my next move?

Hi Voice Coil,

Sorry for the delay in replying.

If you open your unit and it has brown Nippon Chemi-Con LXF series capacitors, then these will ALL need replacing. Its not a difficult job for a competent repair shop as long as they can work with Doubled Sided PCBs without destroying the plated-thou holes.

John
