Default Upgrading the Rega Planet 2000 PICTURES

Hello,

I want to upgrade the components of my Rega Planet 2000 for better ones. I already changed the RCA plugs for Vampire, added damping to the cabinet and shielded the op amps and transport cable. I compared my player with a stock one and mine sound more open (clean) and the instruments timbre are better.

Here are some pictures:

The diodes are 2x L7805CV 5v and LM317T TO-220. Wich model do you recomend for upgrade these parts? I thought about the LM1086 for the L7805 but the pins are different. But what for the LM317T?

I'll upgrade the 4700uF 25V and 1000uF 35v in the power supply first, for STD4700uF 35V and FK1000uF 50v. And make a parallel conection with a Sonicap Planinum 0,1uF capacitor.

Coments and suggestions?

Thanks

Guilherme

you can't really change the 7805 to something as they are fixed voltage. LM317 is fairly standard and I something think changing it to an LDO part (LM1086) has no advantage.

you check if the LM317 has a cap in the adj pin for better ripple rejection (as mentioned in lm317 datasheet).
