Thanks, for the kind words guys. Unfortunately, my soldering skills are not much better than some of you guys. So, I won't be selling any boards with premounted IC's. Anyway, if you want a board (or more), just send me an e-mail, let me know how many, and where you live in the world, and I'll send you the details.

I can personally recommend this place for SMD soldering work. They were helpful and prompt.

Nope, it is not pin compatible with PCM1794/8.

Has anybody tried this DAC with 24/96 input? Do you have to reset it before you can input a 16/44.1 signal?

I tried it with the output of my DVD player. It works fine, and doesn't need a reset. But I had to press STOP and PLAY to make the input receiver lock to the new format.

Hello Ray

I have a question for you: did you make those PSU PCBs for the ezDAC yourself? And if so, do you have the schematics?

Because i'm planning on builing one, basically based on your BoM.

Yes, I designed them using Eagle. It's a straightforward design: tranny, four diodes, big cap, 78xx, small cap. A similar schematic can be found here. The values for the components I used are in the BOM.

Regards,

Ray

Thanks, but now I have another question. How is that power supply (the power supply for the flea) supposed to work? The transformer is 15V and the output 18VDC?

Thanks in advance,
Bart
