Thanks to all the quick responses to my requests for help.
After I impatiently waited to start mods on Marantz CD4000, I am now hesitant to begin after reading post of huang's diy attempt ending in CD not reading discs. I hope you solved that problem huang? If so could you post what the solution was or how the problem could be avoided.

Hi nuriev,
Take a look at http://benjamin.silvestre.club.fr/cd723/cd723.html even if you don't read french, scroll down and you'll find links to schemas and the cd723 service manual

thanks for the help mcarre1. I have always wanted to learn the beautiful French language but still haven't made the effort.
The information looks interesting - I have modified my CDP but some of the suggestions and pics look like additional modifications. Is there anyway to have the mods pages of CD723 translated into English?

Hi everbody, I have modified my CD4000 analogue and power on PCB. Installed Kwak Clock 7 etc. Still considering installing a separate power supply.
Can anyone advise how a separate power supply could be installed for best results? Schematics with pictures will be most helpful as I have no formal electronic theory training.
