Hi all,
I just built a dac using an soic CS8412 (in a browndog adapter) receiver and TDA1543 dac. I used ic sockets so I checked the regulator's output prior to inserting the chips. The voltages are 5.1V for the 8412 and 7V for the 1543. Problem is it doesn't work, the led signal lock doesn't turn on. So I bravely inserted a CS8414 (also in a browndog adapter) and it worked! The CS8412 is supposed to be brand new, the adapter was also brought new and I have tested chip pins against adapter pins for continuity and all is good. Any ideas? TIA JojoD |
