Hi everyone,
I am using some time the mpxplay program to play al my music files under DOS. it is very easy and you don't have to wait until Windows is booted. But now I want to play also files from a usb memory stick. Is there someone who have already installed usb drivers under dos and succesfully used this with MPXPLAY under dos?

But I don't find any downloads of this file. |

Thanks Karma this file was exactly for what I was looking for.
I'm also searching al over the web to find a good nano itx board for playing with mpxplay. This is what I found: http://www.mini-itx.com/store/?c=26#epianl I'm very interested in the "VIA EPIA NL 8000E Nano-ITX Motherboard" but I'm not sure if MPXPLAY would recognise the sound card on board of this motherboard. In the INI file from mpxplay you can read something like: "VIA 82686,8233,8235,8237 | 4-48 | 16 | 2 | onboard audio" Now the south bridge of the board contains one of the numbers above but does this realy mean that mpxplay would recognise the soundcard on board of the motherboard?

Nice projects Karma
I like good quality (audiophile) music. So for me it is important thet mpxplay can handle loseless formats such like .WAV... So I can use the small motherboard VIA EPIA NL 8000E Nano-ITX But when the soundquality of the onboard soundcard is not good enough can I use the spdif output in case with mpxplay? Are there usb soundcards that mpxplay support? |

if mpxplay picks up the onboard soundcard and it has spdif out it should work.
here is a link to the original source code if you wana have a look at it. http://www.filepedia.com/source_codes/mpxplay.cfm |

So MPXplay works and it plays from my memory stick. Very easy to transfer music from my home PC to the Player.
But does anybody know if it is possible to use an external USB soundcard with MPXPLAY? |
