Default cd clock (two questions)

I built myself a new cd clock for a sony x202es with a tentlab X0.

After making and correcting all the mistakes one can make it finaly works.

I want to make a little copper shielding box to minimize radiation.
Do i connect this shielding to ground, to the housing, or not connect it to anything.

I tried to connect it (the clock and regulator) to a separate PSU.
but i didn't get it working. The player doesn't recognize the cd's anymore. I get a good 5V over the clock when powered seperatly, but when i powerup the rest of the player that is not the case anymore. Do i have to power the DAC from the same regulator as the clock?
