What I can read your box has only SPDIF and coaxial output. I think you can connect directly to your DAC. Transformers isolation against RF-noise. If the noise is low from the DAC output you don't need a transformer (right now at least).

Normal AES/EBU signal chain is:

driver + transformer + cable + transformer + reciever

A coax ouput is a SPDIF interface. Use the transformer at the source end of the digital interface. AES/EBU is a balanced digital interface and often contains no transformers at either end of the balanced digital cable. Transformers in the digital interface will often improve the sound greatly by breaking the ground loop for digtal and power supply noise. Puting the tranformer at the DAC end can cause signal reflection for the digtal data whch is a good reason to put the transformer the source end of the digital cable.
