Default CD-ROM as a transport...

I have a Plextor UltraPlex 40X SCSI CD-ROM, and I am going
to build a dac to make a coplete cd player(using BB DIR1703, DF1706 and probably PCM1704), so I have some questions...
...for starters, how should I connect Plextor to DIR receiver,
probably spdif on the back of Plextor, but matybe there's a room
for some twekas ie. transformer coupling or anything else??

Power supply for Plextor...well, undoubtedly there's a better
way than PC power suppley

What about vibration damping, does anyboady have suggestions
for this, how should the case for the entire 'player' look like?

Finally, the problem with play control, Plextor itself has an 'eject'
and a play/next button. Does anyone knows, how to make use
of forward/rewind etc. etc.
I suppose that it has something to do with SCSI bus and SCSI commands...

How to convert cd-rom into audio cd?

cd rom as a transport?

You cand do search under CDROM and transport and probably find more info on the forum.
