Default Op-amps to replace ones currently in amp???

I want to swap out the ops that are in there right now. They are super low end/grade ops (LF35N)

http://www.chipcatalog.com/National/LF353N.htm

It is a very low grade op...one of the worst available.

I would like to replace this one with either of these:

http://www.chipcatalog.com/Linear/LT1362.htm

OR

http://www.chipcatalog.com/TI/THS4032.htm

Would either of these others work as drop-in type replacements where NO modifying is necessary to keep the amp working properly???

Thanks all!!!

How about the THS4032 or other THS type with low input noise and otherwise excellent specs?

What others have you played around with in amplifiers and compared the LT1469 with?

Thanks for the recommendation. I'm looking into it now.

Regards!

Read this thread its all about trying opamps
http://166.90.205.111/forums/showthread.php?t=161941
I tried the THS4031 on this amp and it sounds nice just like AD8610
but when Itried the Lt1469 it has a openess and detail that is hard to beat. Suggest ju read the thread.

I saw you mentioned the LT1468, but not 1469. I'm gathering one is the single op and the other the dual op. I will look into them both.

From what others have said, the THS4031/THS4032 is substantially better than the AD8610/AD8620 types.

I saw you tweaked your amp quite a bit to achieve the sound with the different ops. Did you ever manage to just do a simple swap in/out using the existing circuitry and using all the ops you have tried?

I see you mentioned four ops on head hi-fi, but didn't see any mentioning of the THS ops.

Thanks again for your recommendation. I don't think it hurts to try them especially since they are dip style if I am not mistaken.

I would like to hear more of your thoughts on the THS based op and as well, the LT1360 you seemed to mention quickly, but didn't seem to appeal to you? LT1360 is another that is supposed to be better than the ones you mentioned in the head-hifi thread.

I know we all have our feelings about different ops. What I am looking for, primarily, in an op, is one that will be able to give as transparent/see-through sound as is possible...something that can reveal as much of the recording as is possible. I think this op you mention can easily beat what I am using now, but still want to consider some others (not the 827 or other OPA types, though)

Thanks again!!!

I think they both have their + and -.

Yes it was the offset I was trying to get as low as possible,It would have worked whitout tweaking at all,but when I changet to the Smp
bufferts I liked the sound even more.

The LT1360 I rank under the AD8610,Yous hould try a couple of them and swap in/out ,maybee messaure the offset before connecting anything, and please report back how you like them.
