Hello everybody.
I've a cd80 that doesn't stop pulling the tray out even without cd in ita and even as sson it is switched on. I checked the stop switch. It is there but it seems the long tongue supposely to be touched by the tray is missing. I've no cd80 service manual but I've few Philips ones. Does anyone of you owning a cd80 service manual can either part with me the manual or confirm that the part number for the switch is 4822 276 11277 ? Is there anyone that has a spare to sell? I tried to permanently shortcut the switch and the tray closes correctly and the cd starts to play. The only shortcoming is the fact that the tray doesn't close completely and needs a little push. Does the shortcut causes damanges in the short/long term? Can the workaround be used until I get hold of another switch? Any stopgap measure? Tanks all of you for your help. Antonio |
