AD1865 is 18 bit DAC, but DIR1701/3 output is not 18 bit. If the output format of DIR1701 is 16 bit, everything is OK, but music volume will be lower. For the normal AD1865 18 bit working (normal music volume), probably DIR1701 24 bit output and some glue logic between DIR1701 and AD1865. You can see solution of the same problem in Rockna DAC (AD1892 20 bit / AD1865 18 bit) Regards, Josip |
