Hello,
I want to start to mod a cd player and want to start doing an old Philips cd640 before i do my Marantz .... First time for me so any suggestions would be great. Im not a soldering newbie so thats no problem. Thanks !!!! |

I think he wants to improve the 640.
I have one, use it as a experiment player to test clocks, dacs non-os vs os i/v's and more. The MAB8421 is faulty, i have to move CD drawer by hand now. I bought another one, a CD660 (with FTS) for 12 euro's on ebay and made a solid MDF cabinet for it. Want in it four dacs parallel with shift registers, but i am thinking of building the ultimate dac from Ecdesigns too.
