hi all,
I have a question: is it possible mod a DAT to DAC, because I think a DAT is professional and cheap now, so if can mod to a DAC(just do D/A convert), the DAC is cheap! |

Yes... but a CD player would be cheaper, and more available. You want a unit with a decent (and documented) DSP chip, DACs, and analog stage. Cut the inputs to the DSP and add your S/PDIF receiver (maybe with ASRC for jitter reduction).
