Needs help. replacing SM5840 with SM5842

Below is a diagram showing the SM5842. The mute pins are set to the off position as are the deemphasis pins. Dither is also switched off.
Normally deemphasis and mute, if it is used, are controlled automatically by the preceding ic's. In the case of the SM5840, this is done via a microcontroller. If you want to retain automatic control you will need to connect the pins on the ic's that generate the deemphasis and mute flags to the SM5842 or use a microcontroller to decode commands intended for the SM5840 and then use it set the mute and deemphasis pins on the SM5842. Also note that the SM5842, unlike the SM5840, has no volume control capability, so if that function was in use it will now be unavailable.
