I have been working on this project for a while and it is finally up and running. It consists of various NOS digital boards that can be swapped in and out, a passive I/V and for now a tube gain stage, though a solid state I/V and gain stage is in the works too.
Image at http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/attac...amp=1150153766 Despite the mess it sounds quite good. Project home is at http://www.ecp.cc/modular_dac.html I don't know if it is okay to mention this here, but if it is, some info about extra boards is at Prototype DAC PCBs (TDA1541A, TDA1545, AD1865N, 5687) |

Hmm, kind of like the Altmann Attraction DAC, except on a much bigger piece of wood.
Seriously, good looking stuff. Congrats - Pat |
