Marantz CD10 TOC error
Hi,
I have a Marantz CD10 (CDM4/36) and have sometimes problems, that it soes not read the TOC when inserting a CD. The turntable motor does not start after inserting the CD. But it is not a turntable motor problem, since the motor works perfectly (under test program conditions). Seems, that the pick-up does not recognize the CD. On the other hand, I do not have any problems with reading CDs, even CD-Rs. Any suggestions here? Cheers Trellis |

dodgy spindle motor?, what happens if you give it a little finger "push start" while laser tries to focus?

Turntable motor sticking is my bet.
CDM4 afaik spins before achieving focus, CDM9 focus before spin. |

i had same problem on my cd10...
Hi Trellis,
try to read this post and then write me, i had the same problem on my cd10, and now seems to be solved, or improved... Cold start problems with CD transport good luck  DoctorWho70 |
