Default How does sp/dif work?

Came here to get better music and have ended up studying bits and bytes. Am now realising I'm also going to have learn how to code as my interest is lying firmly with PC audio.

Anyone know a site that explains how sp/dif works bit by bit and/or byte by byte? I see timing waveforms in datasheets but can't yet make sense of them, don't think I'll get much further in my studies until I can follow the low level workings.

Thanks.

Download a copy of AES3-2003 from www.aes.org.

Thanks for the link.

A courtesy copy costs $0.00. To get it I had to add it to my shopping cart then proceed to checkout where I needed to give my details in order to pay the invoice of $0.00.
