Default dual optics cd transport

Hi folks,

I have a problem (opportunity) and perhaps someone here can help me out.

I'm a horn lover. My bass horn is 15 feet long vs. my high frequency horn at 30 inches.

The situation I must endure is that of time misalignment. Bass comes in late.

I've played around with QSC's DSP-30 and succeeded with delaying the hi-frequency horn. Unfortunately, the process butchered the transients.

I did some thinking:

Is it possible to have dual optics on a cd transport? They can be spaced apart to physically create time delay. Each optic could have it's own dac... I'm not certain how one would go about merging the signals. Perhaps we don't?

In the end, both horns get a clean signal at the proper point in time.

Thanks,

John Inlow
