Default CAL Aria (original CD mech)

Hi all

Anyone conclusively know which mech the California Audio Labs Aria (original MK1) uses? I am sure it is a Philips but which one?

I can purchase a used one but need to know if I have spares / can get spare laser for it.

TIA

G

Well this unit that I have here uses Matsashita chipset so that is entirely different.
I'm seeking a service schematic (manual) for the CAL DX1, could you ask your contact to help out at all? Be grateful if this is possible....

Hi.

If you could get to lift the lid, it would be fairly obvious.

According to "my contact" a lot of stuff he has already posted on Audio Asylum.

The mech you have is a CR2, apparently CAL designed made by Matsuschita and perhaps used by them also. I think the Acurus ACD11 I have for sale uses that mech also....

Check your mail.....
