Hey, Just got this CD player on ebay.
Sounds great but doesn't like copied CDs. Would changing the laser pickup help? If so anyone know where I could find said pickup and which model is appropriate? |

Hi squirrel69,
That may not help at all. Burned CD's can have rather variable characteristics. The way to tell is see if the machine meets normal specs (RF pattern) and then try the suspect discs. You will probably see a lower RF pattern with more noise on the waveform. If the CD is suffering from any mechanical fault, or weak head, you may see this fault. Do not just order and stick in a new head. There are adjustments to be made. You need a tech for this. -Chris |
