Hi All,
I am interested in finding out more information about these and other similar products but I am having trouble finding information about them. I don't mean manufacturers info I am after sites that have reviewed them and people that have used them. I know this is a DIY site but there is so much expertise here I am hoping that some one might have some links to good sites that cover these sort of digital products. Any info much appreciated. Thanks |

This amps typically work with 350-380 kHz, 8 bit PWM and some noise shaping (don`t know what order). Many DIYers are happy with the panasonic digital receivers with TI chips developed in cooperation with TACT. Some use them for fully active systems together with Behringer digital crossovers. Passive speakers are a problem sometimes because of passive output filter and no feedback.

Well I had a TDA2200 on trial for aweek and I thought it was amazing, stunning dynamics and fantastic sound. So impressed that I have ordered one. This will be for my main system.
I found some user groups on Yahoo but not much else, I am still interested in hearing from anyone with experience of the Lyngdorf/Tact products. I shall still be playing with DIY for the rest of my Hi-Fi needs including playing with DRC. |

you're in the wrong forum. this is for digital _sources_. try the class D amp forum, instead.

b-square, LOL, your right and your wrong !
Class D is not digital and I wasn't aware that this forum was limited to Digital sources anyway? Edit just checked this forum and I find thats "This forum is dedicated to discussion all things digital." But the TDA2200 is really a sort of power DAC and DACs are definitely at home in this forum. |

Quote:
diyAudio Forums -> Top -> Source -> Digital in case you missed it, that's _SOURCE_ -> Digital. meanwhile, the description for the class D forum is "Switching Power Amplifiers and Power D/A conversion". what was it you were asking about, again? whether class D is digital (i didn't make any such claims) is irrelevant. the point is that what you are asking is discussed in the class D forum. you can continue asking and searching in this forum, but you'd get better results trying the class D forum rather than engaging in weak, semantic arguments with me here. bb |
