Question Cdm-4/11

Hi.
I've done some searches and can find very limited info on the CDM-4/11.
My problem is that I need a replacement,or cure,as mine is sadly ill.
I have very limited fundsbut have a laser assembly to trade(please see my thread in the trading post)or possibly sell and then buy a 4/11.
I am not wanting to trade on this thread,I meerly wish to know if there are any of these units out there,or if there is a common fault with this unit that I may be able to fix.
Thank's,
Simon

How is it behaving/misbehaving?

Maybe the problem is old caps or dodgy power supplies.

CDM4/11 can be replace with most of the CDM2 types, CDM1mkii, CDM4/12 and CDM4/31. If you are game to replace just the laser, you can use the laser from the ubiquitous CDM/19.

Thank's for the info,I had no idea that they could be replaced with other units,I guess i'll have a look around for those models you mentioned as I still have no luck with the 4/11.

I have had problems with the players itself, but this is strictly a laser problem as I have sorted the others out, apart from a noisy DAC,which I have had by by-pass in favour of an outboard one.

Many thank's again.
Cheers,Simon.
