Hi everybody!!
This is my first post in this forum!! I'm trying to plan the implementation of an audio compressor using an FPGA. I'm new to the DSP world so I'm asking you some help. Does any of you have an experience in this kind of application? Any idea is very very welcome regarding: block diagrams, signal level measurement (RMS, peak, etc.), compression strategies, attack/decay implementation, etc. Marco |

This probably won't be much use as regards implementation but it covers the concepts quite well.
http://www.analog.com/UploadedFiles/...o_Tutorial.pdf BTW, have you considered doing something with digital video instead? |
