Adding balanced outputs to SqueezeBox

This question came up in the Slim Devices forums. Does anyone know if it is possible to add balanced outputs (AES/EBU and XLR) to the SqueezeBox? Has someone heard of it being done?

You could use a toslink to XLR converter. Like this one
