Hi,
I am planning to build a DAC using the CS8412CP receiver. Unfortunately this chip is hard to find. If someone has just one piece left over for this project, please send an email and make an offer. Thank you in advance. |

You could use CS8414 instead. It is not 100% compatible, mostly regarding the indicators.

Hi,
many thanks to all of you for your immediate answers. Indeed CS8412 is pin compatible with CS8414 and CS8414 is by far easier to obtain. However I am just searching for ONE CS8412CP and I am planning to use it in an already existing design of a DAC. Kind regards |

A bit more ontopic.
It occurs to me that there must be quite a bit of obsolete skip bound broadcast and pro audio gear that usually goes for next to nothing that use the CS8412. The its-older-it-must-be-better-mob might even find the odd CA16C440 aka the BBC AESIC, the grandaddy of them all. There are also some Sony members of the family but we don't talk about them. |

Send me a PM if you want to buy one from me, I have some 2002 versions left. Only if you're desperate. They are quite expensive.
