Hi All,
I want to start a DIY a DAC which is capable of upsampling PCM 44.1Khz to DSD and output analog like EMM Labs, dcs and Wadia. Are there any DAC chips or modules can do this? The offline conversion software is already available from weiss.ch. Thanks |

How many of these will take to upsample 44.1Khz to DSD and analog out?

Well, thet don't exactly output DSD, but the 1 bit DAC's essentally work with a bitstream, just like the one used with DSD. There really is not much of a difference.
Why would you want to do this anyway? Because DSD is better than PCM? Well, then think again... |

Because I auditioned redbook on EMMS and dcs. They all produce incredible details.
