No, not 100% sure for the R1, as I was only told this by an unknown source, they could be wrong.

I could be wrong with this but I think Sony's proper part no. for the BU-1E laser was X49150331

Just found the that part no. for the BU-1E is X49150331
but there is a sub for that obsolete part no. it according this site is the X49150321 and it's ouch $280us
