best opamp bypass caps...

for power supply bypass it's best to use the smallest caps that you can solder in -- for me that's 0603 or 0805 surface mount ceramics -- the problem with a silver mica is that the leads are long so you are placing a lot of distance between the device and its ground plane which negates the bypass.

both analog devices and texas instruments have good application notes on bypass and PCB layout.
